Overview

EasyJobsAI ("the extension", "the app", "we") is a Chrome browser extension and Progressive Web App that provides AI-powered interview coaching and resume optimization. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we handle.

This policy applies to the EasyJobsAI Chrome extension and the website at easyjobsapply.com.

Data We Collect

EasyJobsAI collects only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Resume text — entered or uploaded by you, stored locally in your browser's extension storage and optionally sent to our API to power AI responses.
• Job description text — entered by you, stored locally and sent to our API with your resume to generate tailored answers and resumes.
• Chat messages — the questions you type are sent to our API to generate AI responses. They are not permanently stored on our servers after the response is delivered.
• Passkey (optional) — if you use a passkey to access premium features, it is stored locally in your browser and sent with API requests for validation only.

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address logs, or any personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it in your resume or messages.

How Your Data Is Used

• Your resume and job description are sent to the EasyJobsAI API solely to generate AI coaching responses and tailored resumes.
• API requests are processed using Google Gemini AI. Google processes the text during a request under their own privacy policy but does not use it to train models for free-tier API usage.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for marketing or analytics purposes.
• We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

Data Storage

• Your resume and job description are stored locally in Chrome's chrome.storage.local on your device.
• If you use the optional server-side profile sync, your resume and job description are stored on our server at easyjobsapply.com. This storage is not tied to any user account — it is a shared profile store per server deployment.
• Chat messages are not stored after the AI response is returned.

Third-Party Services

EasyJobsAI uses the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API — processes your text to generate AI responses. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI API (optional, passkey-required) — used for GPT-4o responses when a valid passkey is provided. Governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Permissions Used by the Extension

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• sidePanel — to display the coaching interface in Chrome's side panel.
• storage — to save your resume and job description locally in your browser so they persist between sessions.

No other permissions are requested. The extension does not read your browsing history, tabs, or any page content.

Your Rights

• You can delete all locally stored data at any time by going to the Profile tab in the extension and clicking "Clear Profile".
• You can uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all locally stored extension data.
• If you have requested server-side profile storage, you can request deletion by contacting us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

EasyJobsAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
